Upcoming debate (participation): Fernando Távora's Award
On Monday, the 4th of April, at 6 p.m. at the Northern Portuguese Architects Association’s headquarters, I’ll participate in a debate about the Fernando Távora Award as one of its recipients, back to 2014, with other awarded architects (Armando Rabaça, Maria Neto, and Paulo Moreira). The Fernando Távora Award allowed me to realise an expedition to Intensive Architecture, visiting Shinohara’s houses in Japan and afterwards to North and Central Europe to visit Loos, Lewerentz and Zumthor’s works. This expedition allowed me to advance significantly in my postdoctoral research and reach relevant conclusions about the composition of sensations in architecture. Some of these conclusions feature in the essays on my website. Feel free to come if you’re in Porto!
